Half Price Plant Sale and Special Visitors

Wal-mart had a plant sale!  This great looking bougainvillea was marked half price, which makes sense, I guess, since the season is half over...Anyway, I was having special guests over for the day, and so I thought this would be a great way to brighten up the area around the front door. You see, I'm one of those "brown thumb" gardeners.  Green things don't survive very long around my house. I think sometimes I just forget to feed and water outside plants (I would die too..) and the ones inside, I love to death with too much water. Anyway, this is why half priced plants are a good idea for me.  I just needed them to look pretty for one day...As I edited the pics, I realized that I never even put the pink one in a pretty pot!  It's not like I don't have any- I have MANY from the dead plants before these.  Oh well, I guess it's a good thing the guests were my own dad and his friend.  He will still love me anyway. And, if the truth be known, he probably didn't even notice the flowers!

My six-year-old nephew who lives with me asked, "What if a real rabbit comes up here and tries to marry with that one?"  I got a laugh out of that!

I love the different shades of pink...some so vibrant and others soft and sweet...

Well, even if the plant only lasts a couple of days, I still have these pics that will last and last and last...and, they were so pretty, I just wanted to share.

I had a really good visit with my dad and his friend, and that's what was important about the day.
