A Vintage and Natural Christmas Look

I had the pleasure of visiting with a relative a week or so ago, and she was just beginning to decorate for Christmas.  I love her style; it's so easy on the eye and incorporates natural elements...

As I mentioned, she had just begun decorating, so the fireplace Christmas look wasn't yet finished, but I wanted to share it because I am in love with the rusty metal deer on the hearth.  The deer has a holder on the back side that holds branches in a way that they become "antlers"...Incidentally, I painted the amaryllis artwork above the mantle many years ago.  She takes it out to display every Christmas.

Vignettes and small Christmas touches are everywhere...

She recycled Halloween trees in this nativity scene that she assembled on top of a vintage cabinet in the dining room...I love the way the angels hanging from the ceiling cast their shadows on the wall.

This nativity set is in a niche in the center of the cabinet.

I wish I could go back now that she has the tree up and everything is decorated...I will just have to imagine.  I know it's pretty.

Thank you, Marsha, for letting me blog about your Christmas decor!

I hope you're enjoying the Christmas season!  I'll see you again in a couple of days.

    1. I know, Leslie Anne. She always does every holiday up in grand style where every little corner gets decorated. This is her grandmother's house that they brought back from a condition where most people would have just walked away. I'm sure she's made her grandmother proud.
