Special Puppets and Emmy Award Winner Marshall Izen--Part 2

If you missed Part 1 yesterday, click here.  And now, I'll pick up where I left off...

To sum up my puppet purchase, I ended up with a travel case, two heads and three bodies/outfits.  I plan to speak to some other individuals who have knowledge of the value of puppets and then once I determine what they're worth, I will list them on ebay.  I will let you know in another post when this actually happens.

I also found some of Mr. Izen's handmade masks.  I'm thinking they were used as props or accessories for his puppet shows, but I plan to list them separately from the puppets, that is if I don't decide to keep them for myself.  I'm sort of in love with them...

THE RED ONE

 THE BLUE ONE

These were some special finds, indeed, for this funky girl who appreciates anything with a history that's handmade and artsy.  I'll let you know if I list these for sale as well, but don't hold your breath...they look really cool in my studio.

Thanks for hanging out with me as I shared my newest treasures.  I appreciate each one of you who take the time to read what I write.  If you don't already follow, you can do so by clicking on any of the tiles on the right hand side of this page at the top.  There are several ways to follow.  That will insure that you don't miss a post.

  1. What an unusual and fabulous collection you stumbled upon Judy! It must have been like walking back in time researching the man behind the puppets and their history. I can't wait to see what you do with them!

    1. Yes, Jenna, it was definitely a special find. Special and sad at the same time...I'll keep everyone posted on where they end up.
