Fall French Toast Breakfast

Our daughter is coming from Virginia to visit for a few days, and I wanted to pull together some special recipes from the past that I thought she would appreciate.  One of our favorites has always been this French Toast that I made frequently when the children were all still at home.  I don't make it as much anymore, because I just don't cook as much as I did back then, but this visit will be an excuse to make a mess in the kitchen while I cook up some good and tasty memories!

I shared the French Toast recipe last year, so I thought I would share it again for those of you who missed it.  It's a good one...you really need to try it!  Just follow the link for the complete post.

Enjoy!

  1. I'm the only one in my family who likes french toast! I'm living with a bunch of pancake lovers. This looks scrumptious!

    1. You should try this one on them...maybe it'll change their minds? It's sort of sweet and crunchy! Although, pancakes are not bad either...It would actually be fun to add these flavors to pancake batter and see how it tastes!

  2. I have never thought to make french toast with 5 grain bread, I bet it is delicious! French toast and bacon is the perfect breakfast in my book! Enjoy your special time with your daughter!

    1. Hi Jenna! The whole grains in this bread give it a little crunch, and that's why I like using it. Thanks for checking in and the comment. We will enjoy our visit with Autumn, as we don't get to see her as much as we would like. Virginia is a long way from Alabama!
      See you Tuesday!
