Words of late artist Frank Howell...I totally relate!

"There are few days off and no retirement from this entanglement of knowledge, passion and vision that will be molded and converted into creative expression. There are no guarantees of acceptance, understanding or reward, but...the noise inside the mind never ceases. I will paint today, tonight and for as many tomorrows as I am given..." Fluttering Bird Earrings in Sterling Silver

So, these are my most recent silver creations.  I'm not sure if they are barn swallows or purple martins, but I've always liked this bird silhouette, and thought they would make pretty earrings.  I wanted to perfect my cutting technique, so I thought these would be good, sort of intricate shapes, to cut.  They turned out pretty close to what I had drawn, so I'm happy...and I didn't break a blade!  I wanted just a very simple, highly polished, mirror-like finish, so I polished and polished.  And to add a little drama, I added the long strands of beads so that they can dangle and flutter around the neck a bit.  I'm loving the iridescent colors of the glass beads.  Can't wait to wear them!

I think I'm going to make a bracelet next week...and, it's going to require soldering- with that scary flame.  Stay tuned...
